Article IV · Wages and Compensation
§4.1 Base wage rates
The Company shall pay all bargaining-unit employees a minimum hourly wage of nineteen dollars and fifty cents ($19.50) per hour, effective July 1, 2026. The base rate shall increase by 3.0% on each annual anniversary of this Agreement.
Notwithstanding §4.1, where federal, state, or local law prescribes a higher minimum wage, the Company shall pay the higher of the two rates. [Missing: explicit California state minimum schedule reference. State minimum reaches $20.00/hr on 2026-07-01, which exceeds the §4.1 base rate.]
§4.3 Overtime premium
All hours worked in excess of forty (40) per week shall be compensated at one and one-half (1.5) times the employee's regular rate. The 4-week rolling overtime cap of twenty-four (24) hours per employee, as set in the prior agreement, is preserved.
Premium rates for night shift (10pm–6am) shall be 15% above base. Premium rates for weekend shift shall be 12% above base. — Reviewer: Priya Anand approved 2026-04-30, matches Local 184 standard.
Article VII · Grievance and Arbitration
Any grievance arising under this Agreement shall be initiated in writing within thirty (30) calendar days of the event giving rise to the grievance, or the date the employee or Union became aware or reasonably should have become aware.
Step 1 — Informal discussion with immediate supervisor (5 business days). Step 2 — Written grievance to department head (10 business days). Step 3 — Joint Union-Management committee (15 business days). Step 4 — Binding arbitration through AAA panel.
Specifically with respect to California, the Company acknowledges that California state minimum wage shall reach $20.00 per hour effective July 1, 2026, pursuant to Cal. Lab. Code §1182.12. For all bargaining-unit employees performing work within California, the base wage rate shall be the greater of (a) the rate set in §4.1, or (b) the prevailing California state minimum. The Company shall provide written notice to the Union within thirty (30) days of any state minimum wage adjustment that requires implementation under this provision.
